Lantana

Lantana will be waved in Kreuzkoerper ( KK ).
The warp will be the rojo rococo (the same colour as like the weft in nr.27).
Also there will be a black stripe of about 5cm on one side.

The following 4 colours will be in the weft:
Tinte AzulColumbiaFollajeAzul capitan
The first three wefts have the same colours as the three garns of the warp of nr.27.Each stripe of nr.27 will be the design of an own wrap,just that the warp and weft of the Lantana will be opposite.

Preorders can be made until the 8.2.2012.Afterwards you can contact me and reserve a wrap which was not preordered.
The nr.27 is always shimmering in many colours so that I was looking for a name which would fit this wrap and called it after the flower Lantana.

Frigga

We are proud to present our new design - Girasol Frigga! (All those Brits out there, don't fall under your chairs, please).

The name "Frigga" was suggested buy one of our fans on the Facebook. I have aksed our fans to brainstorm about the appropriate name for our new design. We had more than 400 suggestions.

I like the name Frigga very much because of its meaning in the Norse mythology. Frigga is a Norse goddes. In the Norse mythology Frigga is presented as a wife and mother. Frigga lives in her palace, called Fensalir, where she spinns the golden threads and weaves long webs of bright-colored clouds.

Spring Rain

Pre-ordering is up for the new Pinkletink design, Spring Rain, the first in the Seasonal Elements series of four seasonally inspired wraps!
Pre-ordering will run through February 8th.
I do not have firm dates from Girasol for the timing of the weaving of this wrap yet, but I am expecting to hear that it will be woven during late February and early March and that it will arrive at Pinkletink Baby with the Spring Rains of early late March or early April!
Remember, pre-ordering is the only way to be sure of getting the size you want, and I will be only doing ONE RUN of this pattern this year!

News from Wear a Baby!

In January / February we are expecting two wonderful Girasol exclusive designs! They are both designed by the Finnish babywearing group at the YSV forum. We have ordered some extra wraps in both colorways and we are going to offer these wraps primarily to the group members. If there will be some leftover wraps, those can be sold to non-group members, too. We will inform about the left over wraps at Wearababy's page and our FB page later.
Alongside you can see the drawings and the yarn colors that will be used. There will be several different weft colors also so this project will be quite interesting.

Jonathan was born a micro-preemie at 25wks gestation and spent 27 days in the NICU. This wrap was designed to honor Jonathan and all the other babies that were never able to be taken home.

PRE-ORDER information:

contents: 100%cotton

weave: regular cross weave
weft: Flan de Caramelo (keeping the colors fairly true to tone and adding a subtle warm hue, like a beautiful sunrise!)

This release is a Sustain exclusive and can only be pre-ordered through our site sustainablesprouts.com
Pre-order will close Sunday January 15, 2012 and numbers will be turned over for weaving the following day!

We may be selling extras on our sites after the weaving is complete, but the numbers are not guaranteed. If there are extras from the order, they will be listed in the store at their regular retail price and will not be apart of the donation process, as donations will have already been made. We are holding a pre-order so that anyone interested in supporting the Hall family and their chosen foundation, is able to do so.

Anticipated Timeline: The wraps may take 4-8 weeks to be completed once numbers are turned over to Girasol. The transit time from Germany can take 1-2 weeks.
Payment: We normally collect a deposit only, but in this case due to donations, we will be collecting the full price of the wrap before weaving begins.
Returns/Cancelled Orders: Due to the fact that donations will be given to the family and RMH soon after the order is placed, we will be unable to issue a full refund for cancelled orders or return wraps. We will deduct the amount of donation from any return.

Donations: $20 from each sale will be donated - split between the Hall family and their chosen foundation, The Ronald McDonald House. $10 donation has been added to the regular retail price of the wraps and Sustain.able Sprouts will be matching that donation from the wrap proceeds. We will also provide public proof of the donation to both parties.
