We considered the wait time and amount of designs to choose from, and chose to lower the deposit for this pre-order to $30.

Time to design your dream wrap! You may submit as many designs as you can come up with :)

Contest Guidelines:
*Deadline for submissions is Saturday, March 10th
*Submissions will be uploaded on Monday, March 12th for voting
*Email designs (in jpeg format) to sustainablesprouts@gmail.com with "Girasol Design Contest" in the subject line
*Please include the category in which you wish to enter in your email
*The designer of any submission chosen for weaving, will receive a free wrap in that design!
*You can find yarn color references in the photos listed in the Girasol Yarns folder on our FB page. Please include the yarn NAMES with your submission! If we feel they are off from the actual swatch, we reserve the right to edit the submitted design for color matching purposes.
*A Girasol wrap is 70cm wide, keep this in mind when designing your stripes :)
*Align your stripes in a vertical pattern, as if the left rail is on the left and the right rail is on the right.
*If your design is chosen, you are giving Sustain.able Sprouts the weaving rights to said design.

Jonathan was born a micro-preemie at 25wks gestation and spent 27 days in the NICU. This wrap was designed to honor Jonathan and all the other babies that were never able to be taken home.

PRE-ORDER information:

contents: 100%cotton

weave: regular cross weave
weft: Flan de Caramelo (keeping the colors fairly true to tone and adding a subtle warm hue, like a beautiful sunrise!)

This release is a Sustain exclusive and can only be pre-ordered through our site sustainablesprouts.com
Pre-order will close Sunday January 15, 2012 and numbers will be turned over for weaving the following day!

We may be selling extras on our sites after the weaving is complete, but the numbers are not guaranteed. If there are extras from the order, they will be listed in the store at their regular retail price and will not be apart of the donation process, as donations will have already been made. We are holding a pre-order so that anyone interested in supporting the Hall family and their chosen foundation, is able to do so.

Anticipated Timeline: The wraps may take 4-8 weeks to be completed once numbers are turned over to Girasol. The transit time from Germany can take 1-2 weeks.
Payment: We normally collect a deposit only, but in this case due to donations, we will be collecting the full price of the wrap before weaving begins.
Returns/Cancelled Orders: Due to the fact that donations will be given to the family and RMH soon after the order is placed, we will be unable to issue a full refund for cancelled orders or return wraps. We will deduct the amount of donation from any return.

Donations: $20 from each sale will be donated - split between the Hall family and their chosen foundation, The Ronald McDonald House. $10 donation has been added to the regular retail price of the wraps and Sustain.able Sprouts will be matching that donation from the wrap proceeds. We will also provide public proof of the donation to both parties.

Finally !!! The Winners Are...

Due to the high voting in the rainbow category, we decided to weave the top two! This worked out perfectly as one is a more classic rainbow and the other is a more abstract rainbow that actually fits perfectly as a sustain inspired design as well! We are very excited to work on the finishing touches - stay tuned for some polls on weft and final designs :) Fall exclusives, here we come!

Sustain.bow and Harvest regular weaves are here!! This was a BIG order so it is going to take me a couple days to photograph wraps and package them up for customers. I will work as quickly as my littles let me!!

the contest"We are excited to announce that we are ready to add a Girasol Exclusive to Sustain.able Sprouts! While we have an amazing designer on our team (quick shout-out to the talented Alisa of Color Dip Studios!) we would love for our fans to help us design this one (or two!).

The Sustain team will post all the finalist design entries in a folder on Facebook on October 1st for voting to begin.
