Create new design for MamaNatura!

It's been a year since Mama Natura came to live in London, so to celebrate we're having a competition to design the next Mama Natura Girasol Exclusive!
All of the Girasol competition info is now up on the website :) Borrow your little one's crayons later and have a go!
Once you have finished your design, e-mail it to becky@mamanatura.co.uk
You can enter the competition as many times as you like, and all entries must be received by midday on Wednesday 30th November.

The deadline for submitting competition entries has now passed, so please head over to the photo album on our Facebook Page to vote for your favourite. Voting closes at midday on Wednesday 7th December, after which we'll pick our favourite from the ten designs with the highest number of votes and open a preorder on this page.

IndigoFog in new version

Pre-Order is now open for Girasol Exclusive, Indigo Fog.
This version will be slightly different from the original in that the weft will now be azul pacifico, a gorgeous bright blue/turquoise shade.

The pics shown here are of the original Indigo Fog with azul de ocaso as the weft, which is a periwinkle color.

Pre-order will be open until October 3rd. This pre-order is running in conjunction with MamaNatura in the UK. They will handle any European orders and UppyBaby will handle all North American orders.

A mama who posts on the Natural Mamas forum received an old Girasol Apple wrap for a holiday recently and fell in love! And it turned out that there were lots of other mamas out there who love it too, so she decided to ask Girasol to weave a new version.

This version will be woven in the thread colour 'follaje' with the weft colour being 'crema de nube' in the old Girasol weave. It will look very similar to the pictures on this page.
This design will be available as wraps with fringed or tapered ends, as well as per metre for your own craft projects, and as ring slings with a gathered shoulder which will be sewn by Ocah. Ring slings will be available a few weeks after the wraps are delivered from Girasol - the exact wait will depend on how many are ordered.

Special prices are available for vendors or co-ops who wish to order this wrap (wrap and fabric per metre only) to be delivered to them directly from Girasol. One vendor or co-op per country only, please e-mail Becky on becky(at)mamanatura.co.uk if you are interested.

We need 100m to go ahead; once we've reached that milestone the order will be placed with Girasol and after that it will take 6-8 weeks for the wraps to be woven in Guatemala and delivered to Germany. The ticker below shows the progress made so far towards the target:

Mama Natura are pleased to introduce you to 'Thor', our very first exclusive woven wrap.
Please use the product above to order. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required and at least 90m must be pre-ordered before an order can proceed.

The pre-order will initially close on Monday 19th July at 6pm providing there are enough orders. Girasol give a 2-3month lead time for the design to be woven and shipped.

(the deposist will of course be refunded if the min. requirements aren't met!)

Mama Natura Design-a-Wrap Competition

Mama Natura are really excited to announce the very first Mama Natura Design-a-Wrap competition in conjunction with Girasol.

* The winning designed will need to be approved by Girasol
* The winning designer will receive a wrap measuring 3.6 m as a prize from Mama Natura, they can of course upgrade if necessary. (Prize is subject to the wrap being woven as per terms below)
* You may submit up to 3 designs per household
* Entries must be submitted by 8pm on 1st June 2010
* Entries must be received by email in either JPEG, GIF, PNG or BMP formats.
* Maximum image size 600 x 200pixels
* You must include the thread names with your design
* Entries need to emailed to ally@mamanatura.co.uk
* An order for the winning design will only be placed if at least 90m are
pre-ordered with a 50% deposit paid.
