Sonshine's Rainbow was designed by Alena the leader of So-Cal Babywearers and Babywearing Educator for Granola Babies babywearing classes. We asked her to share the inspiration behind the name with you.

-After designing this wrap for Granola Babies I immediately knew exactly who I wanted to name this wrap after. My 5th baby demanded to be worn 24/7 and he inspired my passion for wrapping. He and I together learned this art and I can't help but think of him everytime I look at a wrap. We sing "you are my sunshine" all the time. I'll sing the first verse and he'll sing the second and so on. Well this conversation took place....

Aidan - "Mom - you're my brother"
(apparently when you have 4 brothers it gets confusing)
Me - "no, I'm your mom"
Aidan - "oh, ok, I'm your mom"
Me - "no, you're my son"
Aidan - "Oh! Like my sunshine! You are my sunshine"

and just like that - my design became Sonshine's rainbow

Wrapper's Paradise

Girasol Wrapper's Paradise is the winning design from a design competition hosted by us in 2009. And since that time it has become a much loved and classic colorway for babywearers around the world. It has soft tones of purple, green and creams and it's absolutely beautiful.

Since 2009 and after it's first and only weaving we've receive many requests to run this colorway again. We love this colorway and agree that it should be available again. All preorders are final sale and non-refundable. Please allow 2-3 months for your wrap to arrive. A minimum amount of orders is needed to do the pre-order. In case the minimum is not reached, you'll be fully refunded for your order. Pre-order ends March 24th. For international shipping, please register to create a customer account and then contact us with the size and color you'd like. Shipping internationally is $50 and you'll be refunded at time of shipping the difference between actual cost and amount paid.

Wrappers' Paradise

Together with Elena of MyGirasol in Russia, we are doing one more batch of Wrapper's Paradise this year.
Girasol Wrapper's Paradise 2009 was the first of the Wrapper's Paradise series.
In 2009, Slings I Love (now Granola Babies) helped organize and hosted a design contest on behalf of the wrappers of TheBabyWearer.com. This particular design won from over 70 designs that were submitted and voted on. It was then weaved that year and the rest is history! But, now...it's back!

PREORDER DETAILS
Preorder is open from 3/9/11 to 3/16/11 end of day.
Girasol woven wraps take between 2- 2 1/2 months to be shipped to you from the time the pre-order closes.
We'll post updates as they are available in our Facebook Page.
Once the wraps arrive at Piece of Cloth, all pre-orders are shippe first and then extras are listed later.
Please note that extras are usually very limited, so it's better to order through the pre-order.
